This year Summer Solstice falls on June 21st, the
longest day of the year. Summer solstice
occurs on the day that has the longest period of daylight. It marks the beginning of summer in the
northern hemisphere and simultaneously heralds the beginning of winter in the
southern hemisphere. It is a very important day for our planet and its
relationship with the sun. For those of
